Hotmelt roller coaters

For high-quality industrial material bonding

Hotmelt roller coaters

Apply strong, durable hotmelt adhesives with precision using our Hotmelt roller coaters. Ideal for furniture, panel bonding, and high-performance applications. Hotmelt adhesives are available in various types, including PSA, EVA/Polyolefin (thermoplastic adhesives), and PUR (reactive polyurethane), each suited for different applications. The roller coater machines can be equipped with either rubber or steel rollers, depending on the material being glued. Common materials that can be bonded using hotmelt adhesives include HPL, foam, aluminum, wood, steel, et cetera. The high adhesive strength immediately after application allows most materials to be pressed in-line using a roller press, eliminating the need for a stack press. Additionally, since hotmelt adhesives contain no solvents or water, the risk of panel bending is minimized. For the flooring industry, Soest offers a specialized gluing line using polyurethane reactive (PUR) hotmelt adhesive. This process is used for manufacturing floorboards, where a solid top layer (typically oak) is bonded to a core (usually plywood). The glue-coated core is automatically stopped at an index station after passing through the glue roller. This index station, equipped with stoppers, ensures precise alignment in both length and width. The operator picks a top layer from the stack above the index station and places it onto the core. A foot pedal then activates the transport system, moving the assembled layers into a roller press. The press, consisting of multiple heavy pressure rollers with pneumatic cylinders, firmly bonds the layers. Due to the exceptional adhesive strength, further pressing in a stack press is unnecessary, streamlining the production process.
