Airless spraying atomises the coating by forcing it at high fluid pressure through a small tip orifice, without compressed air at the nozzle. It delivers a high output with less overspray and bounce-back than conventional air spraying, which suits heavier coats on larger surfaces. The tip size sets the flow rate and fan width; air-assisted airless (airmix) adds a little air for a finer finish.
