Automatic glue application spreads adhesive in a controlled quantity over the surface of a panel or core, usually with a glue roller coater. A doctor roller meters the glue film on the application roller, so the spread in grams per square metre stays constant from the first panel to the last. Machines are available for cold glue and PUR hotmelt, applying to one side or to both sides in a single pass.
