A veneer press bonds thin wood veneer to a substrate such as MDF, particleboard or plywood under controlled pressure, usually between heated platens. The glue type, typically a urea resin or PVAc, determines the press temperature and press time. In an automated setup the glued panels are fed into and out of the flat press by conveyors.
