Cold glue is adhesive applied at room temperature, mostly PVAc (white glue) or other water-based dispersions. The bond forms as the water is absorbed by the substrate and evaporates, so the joined parts must stay under pressure, in a flat press or roller press, until the glue has set. Cold glue is used for veneering, laminating boards and building sandwich panels.
