Glass polishing removes fine scratches and grinding marks and restores the transparency of glass surfaces and edges. It is done with felt or brush tools and polishing compounds such as cerium oxide, after the edge or surface has been ground with progressively finer abrasives. Edge polishing is a standard step in processing flat glass for furniture and interiors.
