Pressing holds bonded layers together under controlled pressure until the adhesive has set. Flat presses, cold or with heated platens, handle batches of panels such as veneered or laminated boards, while roller presses bond continuously as the material passes between heavy rollers. Pressure, temperature and time are set for the adhesive and materials.
