A pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) stays permanently tacky and forms a bond under light pressure, without heat, water or solvent activation. PSAs based on acrylic, rubber or silicone are used on tapes, labels, self-adhesive foils and protective films. Bond strength builds up over time as the adhesive flows into the surface.
