Wet coating is any coating applied as a liquid film that then dries or cures, as opposed to powder coating. The amount is expressed as wet film thickness in micrometres or as grams per square metre. Wet coatings can be solvent-based, water-based or UV-curing, and are applied by roller, curtain or spray.
