Soest Machinery builds the machines that take a floorboard from raw surface to finished product: structuring, coating, polishing and curing, and for engineered flooring also gluing the top layer onto the core.
Texture comes first. The SBL structure brushing machine brushes out the soft grain of oak and softwood so the harder growth rings stand out. The CC/ES combines a saw-effect surface with hand-scraped edges in one pass, for character and reclaimed-look collections.
For the finish, the RC and RC-L roller coaters apply oil, stain or UV lacquer at 9 to 27 m/min, and the reverse-rotating RCR presses oil and stain deep into the open grain. The VP polishing machine works the oil into the boards with pads and brushes matched to its viscosity. Directly behind the coater, a UV or LED drying tunnel cures the coating in seconds, so boards can be sanded, recoated or packed straight away.
For engineered flooring, Soest supplies a complete PUR gluing line: the hotmelt roller coater, an index station and a roller press bond oak top layers to plywood cores without a separate stack press.
